Hey it’s Lauren here, back from another wacky weekend of rain, shine, mini donuts, and rodeo fun!
This weekend was spent at the Fort St John Rodeo, which was wet and rainy on Friday, sunny and windy on Saturday, and cold, windy, rainy and wet all day Sunday. But despite the roller coaster weather the whole weekend was still a blast.
Saturday morning I made it out to the grounds by 11am to catch all of the set up and enjoy the opening ceremonies at 1pm, which were done very well with Trevor Panczak singing the National Anthem! So much was underway all day long, the grand stands were full of fans to support all of the riders, I was so impressed. There was bouncy castles, food trucks, beer gardens, an open mic in the stage area and so much to take in. Saturday night was the second Dancing in the Dirt with the main act being Trevor Panczak and did he ever do an amazing job with a great turnout!
Sunday was a little rainy and cold but none the less there were still fans out in the stands to cheer on the riders that braved the weather. I opened up the cruiser and cranked the heat the warm up as many brave souls as I could, and we all enjoyed the afternoon!
All in all this rodeo weekend was a hit and I’m so excited to see what they do next year!
That’s all for now,
