Hey it’s Lauren back again from an amazing weekend and I am so excited to share with you guys all the fun I had this Canada Day.
So even though the weather was not on our side this year that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any fun to be had! I started my weekend at the parade marshalling, where I got to put the finishing touches on the cruisers and hang out with the Moose FM clan, I even got to catch up with some little buddies of mine that I hadn’t seen in ages.
The parade was a blast and I waved my hands like crazy to all the crowds that came out and supported our community. It was so much fun, I barely had a voice by the end of the route but it was by far the best part of the day! I loved seeing all the kids, and not so kids, out braving the weather to see some really cool floats and have a great time with all of us in the parade line up.
After the parade ended I went straight to our Moose FM tent where there was already a bunch of people down and around the park. The turn out was so impressive and I had a blast with all the visitors that came and the people I got to meet. I handed out so many goodies and had such good conversations with some amazing attendees. There was so many different things going on in the park and all around like bouncy castles, live music, live performers, Show N Shine, photo booths, beach volleyball, a pie sale, beer gardens and a so much more! By the time it came to pack up our draw box was practically full with entries and our goodies were all gone!
Honestly I was so impressed with the turn and the brave souls that made it to the bitter end in the cold wind and rain. I think everyone deserves a pat on the back and a big thank you to everyone who helped this event come together. It was such an organized day and everything went off without a hitch, I mean beside the weather of course!
I loved meeting all of you guys this weekend and I hope to meet so many more as the weekend events commence throughout these next two months. If you would like to see me at an event email me at email@example.com or call the office at 250-787-7100
That’s all for now,
