Hey its Lauren Hrab back from another day out in the community. Today’s events for the most part had me in Taylor, BC. But my first stop was at Browns Social House for Shriners Family Day!
Browns Social House presented Shriners Family Day with all the proceeds of the day going to the Shriners Care for Kids. They had a bunch of silent auction items, balloon animals and their Shriner cars which I got to take for a test drive! Say, do you think the Shriners car should be the new summer cruiser? I think that would be a blast.
Next I headed down to Taylor for their June Market that was being held at Lone Wolf Golf Club, their market happens once a month on the second Sunday. For their first market of the year I would say it was a success there was a good turnout with the amount of booths and people that came down! I even picked out my next Tupperware purchases and got an air freshener for my car.
After the market I just drove a little ways across the highway where the Spirit of the Peace Powwow was taking place for it’s last day. There was so much incredible dancing, drumming, craft tables and food trucks. They had an amazing turnout for their Sunday afternoon festivities in the Taylor Arena, the bleachers were full! I got to sit back and watch all the spectacular dancers in their remarkable costumes while enjoying some delicious mini donuts.
All in all I had a pretty eventful weekend, Im sure the first of many, and I got to meet so many amazing people! If you would like me at your event or if you know of any events going on, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thats all for now,
