The southern state of Kerala in India is instating the always highly talked about “Fat Tax”. Meaning that they’re charging an extra 14.5% tax on foods from restaurants like McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut and Domino’s.
The U.K. recently instated a fat tax on pop and sugary drinks.
But will this encourage the general public to make healthier choices… or just spend more money on the stuff they’d usually eat anyway?
