Back when I was a kid we were told “don’t talk to strangers”, “don’t get into a strangers car” and
“don’t meet someone off the internet”
Basically, “watch out for creepers”
I just wonder when did parents stop telling kids this?
Because we literally do the exact opposite of all of those things in our daily routines.
Thanks to apps like Tinder, POF, UBER, PokemonGO and countless others we’ve become an over trusting society.
Just a couple examples for you.
Don’t get in a strangers car – UBER.
Don’t talk to strangers and Don’t met people off the web – POF, POKEMON GO.
IF you need an example of how Pokemon Go has taken a turn for the worse (yes, already) read here.
We’re actuality doing the complete opposite of what we learned as kids.
I mean this is why we can’t have nice things.
People taking advantage of innocent people.
Many would be quick to blame technology in general which I think would be wrong, and not all strangers are mean or bad people but, I just think we really need to be safer as a community in general.
By all means, catch your Pokemon, date that BABE from tinder, and if It’s cheaper take that UBER, just keep an eye out for that one bad apple.
Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes.
