If you are hanging out in the community this weekend make sure that you get out and take part in some of the awesome events that are going on. You can find me all over the North Peace region this weekend!
My Friday is going to include a visit to the Home Hardware Yard Sale and then giving away a pair of CanolaFest tickets at Fort City Chrysler. My favorite part about Fridays in June has been giving away those CanolaFest tickets to one lucky winner, however this is the last Friday in June and the last pair of tickets!
Saturday is so packed with stuff to do and I going to do my best to get to everything. It’s going to kick-off at Dr. Kearney middle school where Sarah and I will be cooking up a huge pot of chili for the Chili Bowl Bash which is going from 6:00 – 7:30 pm later that evening at the ArtsPost. I’m going to make my way over to Jumpstart Day at Canadian Tire to take in the firetrucks, bouncy castles and water fight! If you plan on going to Jumpstart Day, which you should, don’t forget to bring some money for a donation. All the money goes to local kids so that they can play sports! For the rest of the day I’ll be at Glenn Fox’s 30th Anniversary celebration, the Extreme Horsemanship Clinic & Competition and the Free Art Day that is part of this weekends Bright Nights In June event. Saturday is also the day to take part in The Pride Walk and the RC Club’s Fun Fly in Dawson Creek. It looks like Sunday is going to be another beautiful day. I
‘ll be cruisin’ around town to some local garage sales, taking in the Taylor Farmers Market, then wrapping up the weekend at the Arnie Isberg 1-Pitch Ball Tournament at the Taylor ball diamonds. The ball tournament is going all weekend and the proceeds go to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. So all-in-all a very busy and exciting weekend. Can’t wait to see everyone out and about
