Hey its Lauren here back from another packed weekend of fun! I just wanted to share with you everywhere I went this Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday morning I got up bright and early and headed straight to the airport where COPA For Kids started at 8am with the first batch of kids up in the air by 8:30. I enjoyed a coffee and a scone donated by Whole Wheat and Honey which delicious might I add. And next I headed straight to the Farmers Market where I ate some more goodies!
I spent a couple hours in the sun at the Farmers Market where I got to enjoy some home baked cookies, since I’m not a dad and couldn’t get a free donut! They had fresh cherries, gorgeous flower arrangements, homemade crafts and home baked goodies.
Across the street I stopped at the Fort St. John North Peace Museum annual yard sale. They had a bunch of different kinds of treasures and I even found one to take home!
To end my Saturday out in the community I drove down to Taylor where they were having the Hit To Pass event at the Taylor Speedway. The sun was out and so were the fans!
It was a great way to end the very warm and busy day.
Father’s Day was filled with Father’s Day celebrations, it started with a trip to the Northern Lights Raceway to witness the start of the WrecKIN A Ride event. They even let me take a couple swings myself!
Now on the other side of the community I went and checked out the Father’s Day Fishing Derby at Charlie Lake, and did they ever have a turn out! The lake was full with boats and the sun was out to join them.
My afternoon was full of car races, car smashing, water parks and half off growlers! My dad even came to join me in. my adventures.
We started our afternoon back at Northern Lights Raceway where they held Father’s Day Hotte Memorial races. They were loud and they were super exciting to watch, I myself had never been to any races before so this was a new experience that I got to share with my dad.
We escaped the heat for a bit and went to Mighty Peace Brewing where they were serving burgers and hotdogs, had bouncy castles for the kids and Half off growlers for the dads!
Our last stop was at the pool where dads and kids could go swimming for free and if you still wanted more time in the heat, the new spray was busy with kids and parents enjoying the sun.
I had a crazy weekend with many more to come, I hope to see you all out there sometime this summer! If you would like me at your events you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 250-787-7100.
That’s all for today,
