Back in 2015 the internet blew up about a dress colour, was it black and blue or white and gold?
“Guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the f*** out.”
The debate spread worldwide and started the conversation about how our eyes and brains react when they see specific hues. Additionally how certain electronic can portray colour saturation and images differently.
The owner of the dress stepped forward and answered the questions for everyone, the dress was in fact black and blue.
Over the years similar photos have surfaced including matching a nail polish colour to a pair of heels. Twitter user @TOTALLYMENDES shared the photo that still confused me. She gain over 5000 retweets and an internet debate.
But most recently, the internet is trying to determine the colour of a new Nike outfit. People are trying to determine in the outfit is turquoise and grey or pink and white? Or maybe both?
Rachel Stewart shared a photo on Facebook of a custom made Nike-branded outfit. She captioned the photo:
“Dunno how others see anything other than pink and white?”
However, many social media users saw it another way. With over 1300 shares on her photo alone, the internet debates started

The clothing line that designed the Nike-inspired outfit, BiNorth Collection, released a statement on July 5th, putting to rest another internet debate.
“Hey guys this is Blue and Gray, NOT Pink and Gray.”
But what do you see? Turquoise and grey? Pink and White? Both?
