The 12th annual Paddle For The Peace will be happening this Saturday July 8. West Moberly and Prophet River First Nation in cooperation with the Peace Valley Environment Association would like you to come and celebrate the protection of the integrity of the Peace River Vally. If you have a canoe, kayak, or a raft, you can enjoy a beautiful paddle down the Peace River!
12 noon is when they will launch at the Halfway River bridge on HWY 29 between Fort St. John and Hudsons Hope. There will also be a free hot breakfast there at the launch site sponsored by West Moberly First Nations at 9am-11am
You will end your 1.5 hr paddle down stream of the launch site at Bear Flat on HWY 29. At around 1:30 at Bear Flat there will be a free BBQ lunch sponsored by Prophet River First Nation. There will also be a shuttle bus there to take you back up to your vehicle.
You you would like to participate in the Paddle For The Peace, you can register in person at the event 9am – 11am $10 per person; 13 and under are free!
