The newborn photo shoot trend has seen a steady incline over the past few years. I think it is a great way to capture the first months of a new child’s life. In the words of my mother:
“You have grown up way too fast, I wish I was still taking you to dance recitals and braiding your hair.”
But with all the newborn photo shoots, how does one stand out and have a unique idea. This is where Emma McMahon-Rowland, owner of Pure Aisling Photography, comes in.
Emma and husband Tim are from the Peace Region in Grande Prairie, AB; when the couple started to expand their family they chose not to reveal the gender of the babies. So what does a Canadian family call the baby bump? Well a Timbit of course!
In a Facebook post, Emma explains that prior to Pure Aisling Photography she took ‘Timbit Pictures” with her newborns.
“With our other three children, I wasn’t doing photography yet, so I have a poorly composed picture of each of them in a Timbit box shortly after birth. Even with the questionable quality/lighting, the Timbit pictures were always a hit and became a tradition!”
Little ‘Timbit #4’ is too precious, in his 50 piece box; and a big congratulations goes out to the happy family!
