It looks like our favourite fiery redhead will be returning to TV. The creator of “Desperate Housewives” Marc Cherry is hoping for the upcoming show to be a smash hit on ABC.
The show will star Reba as a Kentucky Sherriff named Ruby Adair. If the show ends up getting picked up, the drama will follow Ruby and the challenges she faces when a young FBI agent arrives to help her solve a “horrific crime”. Sounds Promising! Reba is also on board as executive producer.
“I am thrilled to be coming back home to ABC,” Cherry said in a statement. “What makes it all the sweeter is Reba McEntire is coming with me. And we can’t wait to share with our fans this wonderful Southern Gothic soap opera we’ve been cooking up for them.”
McEntire has a brand new Gospel Album called ‘Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope” to be released on February 3rd, she will also be doing her first ever solo show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on February 15th. It is believe that the pilot for the upcoming show will begin filming in March.
