This Saturday I cruised around Fort St. John in the morning and stopped by some garage sales as well as an Iced Tea stand. There were so many garage sales going on that almost every corner had a garage sale poster on it. The Iced Tea stand I stopped at was being run by two little girls and their grandma who were very happy to check on the cruiser! I headed down to Peace Island Park for a while packed with freezies, tattoos and CanolaFest swag to give away. I wrapped up the day out at Kashton’s Community Respite Dream Home Fundraiser at the J&R Phillips Ranch. The fundraiser had an exciting lineup of performers scheduled to take to the stage as well as a horseshoe tournament, 50/50, silent auction and BBQ dinner. Check out the Fundraiser article for more about it!
On Sunday I stopped in at the Taylor Farmers Market where I chatted with some of the vendors to learn more about what they were selling. They had produce, jewelry, arts and crafts, and essential oil tables set up at the market. I hung out at the Big Bam Slip N’ Slide for most of the afternoon! There was a huge crowd at the Ski Hill all wanting to try out the big slide. They had face painting, food trucks and a coloring contest at the hill as well. I also stopped in at Peace Island Park to watch the Oilmen’s Family Weekend Duck Races on the Peace River.
Don’t miss out on Movies In The Park next weekend!
