I caught on an American (this was red flag number 1) news network last night that with the latest government dietary guidelines, the flossing recommendation has been removed. The government has acknowledged that the effectiveness of flossing had never been researched! One review conducted last year read, “The majority of available studies fail to demonstrate that flossing is generally effective in plaque removal.”
