Tomorrow is Canada’s 149th Birthday and I cannot wait to celebrate it with the rest of Fort St. John! It all kicks off at 10 am on 100th street where Spiderman, Batman, Anna and Princess Else will be entertaining everyone before the parade starts. Make sure you head out early (due to Canada Day road closures) and bring some chairs for the kids, they are going to love this special appearance. Then stick around for the Canada Day parade which starts at 11! Catherine and I will be driving the summer cruiser in the parade, don’t forget to give us a wave. The fun continues down at Centennial Park after the parade with the Classic Cruiser’s Show & Shine, Mayor’s Kick-Off, food vendors, live music, petting zoo, inflatables and so much more! The North Peace Museum’s Pie Sale starts at 12 at the museum and the World Fair starts at 1 pm in the Grass Courtyard. We’ll be down at the Park with the CanolaFest tent all afternoon, so make sure you come and say hi! The party wraps up with the Fireworks Show at the Surerus Park at 10:45 pm, don’t miss it, every year they put on a great show. With so much going on, you’re sure to have a great Canada Day!
